AGS Rome 2026 Welcome Kit · getting there, where to stay, what to pack
Where and when
Affiliate Grand Slam, 2 to 5 November 2026, Fiera Roma. AGS is in Hall 2 (about 7,000 m²). Fiera Roma is at Via Portuense 1645, 00148 Roma, between the city centre and Fiumicino airport: ten pillar-free pavilions and a conference centre with 13 meeting rooms.
Your pass gets you into the AGS hall and the adjacent halls of the co-located events on the same site, so the floor you can walk is bigger than one hall. Daily opening hours and the welcome reception time: to confirm; they'll be in the app and on the site closer to the date.
Getting there
- From Fiumicino (FCO). The FL1 regional train runs from the airport station to Fiera di Roma station, which is at the venue. Around 15 minutes, a few trains an hour, cheap. Taxis are the alternative and there's a fixed airport tariff to the city; agree the venue fare before you get in.
- From the city. The same FL1 line stops at Trastevere, Ostiense, Tuscolana and Tiburtina, so a hotel near any of those puts you on one train to the door. From Termini, change to the FL1 at Tiburtina or Ostiense.
- Buses. ATAC lines 808, 089, 701 and 701L and Cotral coaches serve the fairground.
- Shuttles. The site runs complimentary shuttle routes during the event from hotel clusters including the Ibis, H10 Portuense, B&B Fiumicino, Holiday Inn and Marriott Park; 2026 routes and days: to confirm.
- Driving. The venue has 7,000 parking spaces. Not recommended if you're staying in the centre.
Where to stay
No partner hotels are published yet (to confirm). Four clusters that work, from most convenient to most fun:
- Portuense / Fiera. The Ibis and H10 Portuense are on the shuttle routes and closest to the venue. Practical, quiet, no nightlife.
- Fiumicino / airport. B&B Fiumicino, Holiday Inn, Marriott Park. One FL1 stop or a shuttle from the venue; late flights and early ones are easy.
- Trastevere / Ostiense. On the FL1 line, 20 to 25 minutes to the venue, and you're in Rome in the evenings. The best trade-off for most people.
- Termini / centre. Everything, but two trains to the venue. Fine if the evenings matter more than the mornings.
Book early. November isn't peak season but a four-day event with several summits on site fills the near hotels first.
On site
- Free Wi-Fi for all delegates. Your tracker will work; bring a battery.
- Food festival outside the hall, with kosher and halal options.
- Info desk for lost and found.
- Match App meetings: once you hold a pass, the app is where you request and confirm; the app tells you where an accepted meeting takes place.
- Each summit runs its own Telegram and WhatsApp group. It's the week the usual chats go quiet because everyone's in the same city; this is where they reappear.
Visas
AGS provides visa invitation letters on request through a form on the site once you hold a pass. Italy is Schengen; check whether you need a visa and start early, because embassies don't run on your timeline.
Weather and what to pack
November in Rome: daytime typically 13 to 18°C, cooler evenings, and it's one of the wetter months. Layers, a light waterproof, and shoes you can do four laps of a hall in. A phone that shows your tracker and your offer page without a login dance. Plugs are types C, F and L; a standard European adapter covers it.
Money and phones
Euros; cards everywhere. An eSIM bought before you fly is cheaper than roaming for four days of tethering.
